Pricing & licensing

One product. Free for small businesses. Licensed for everyone else.

There is one edition of the software — every feature, every update. What varies is the licence: qualifying small businesses use OgmaProtect at no cost; larger organisations license it commercially from Wireless Connect Ltd. Hardware is priced separately and does not change the licence.

Editions

Available

Small business — free

The full platform, free to use for the benefit of a company with fewer than 100 people and under USD 1M (2019, inflation-adjusted) revenue in the prior tax year. Both conditions must hold — people means employees and contractors together.

Licensing questions, straight answers

OgmaProtect is source-available under the PolyForm Small Business License 1.0.0 — not open source, and deliberately so. In practice:

Your situationWhat the licence says
Company under 100 people and under USD 1M revenue, using it for your own business Free — permitted, no agreement needed.
Larger company, using it for your own business Needs a commercial licence from Wireless Connect Ltd.
MSP or reseller deploying it for clients Needs a distribution/commercial agreement — client deployments are not covered by the free small-business grant.
Handing a copy to someone else Permitted — the licence grants a distribution right. But it gives them no right to use it: sublicensing is not allowed, so they need their own licence. The licence text and Required Notice must travel with the copy.
Publishing it on a mirror or bundling it into another product A mirror confers no use rights on whoever downloads it, so it helps nobody who does not already qualify. Bundling it into a product you sell needs a distribution agreement.
Modifying it for your own permitted use Permitted, with a patent grant; the licence text and Required Notice must travel with any copy.
Buying an appliance Hardware is a purchase; the software on it is licensed exactly as above. A qualifying small business runs it free; a larger organisation needs the commercial licence.

Plain-language summary only — the licence page carries the authoritative terms. More questions in the FAQ, or ask us directly: hello@ogmaprotect.com.
